What is the most reliable cuddy cabin style boat?

I want to get a boat but I've heard that boats are just holes in the water that you throw your money into. Hoping to avoid that, I would like advice from anyone knowing anything about the boats that I'm thinking about getting or any suggestions that I may not have considered (budget 20k). I've been shopping and have narrowed it down to a 2001 Mariah (218 Shabah), 2001 Regal (235 LSC), 2003 Chaparral (215), 2003 Four Winns (225 Sundowner) or a 2000 Sea Ray (215 Express Cruiser).
