If your going to be a freshmen and central michigan university are you allowed to live in an apartment?

I want to attend CMU but i really dont want to live in the dorms. Is it true that there are suites that 4 people can sign up for the come with two bedrooms bathroom and common area? If so how could I and 4 friends apply for one of those? and DO they cost alot more then the traditional rooms? Anyhow I would really like to have an on campus appartment like washington court but in not sure if freshmen are allowed to get one. I want to get a 2 bedroom to be shared with 4 people. Any info would help
